Membership to Newton's Astronomical Society is open to anyone with an interest in the night time sky, space and related subjects.
The benefits of joining are:
- Monthly meetings at Woolsthorpe Manor, birthplace of Sir Isaac Newton.
- Talks on a variety of astronomical topics.
- Short informative beginners' talks following the main event.
- Observing events where you will have the opportunity to view and learn about the night sky.
- Learn to use a telescope and the tricks of observing.
- Society social events such as barbecues and organised trips to places of interest.
- Refreshments provided at all meetings - included in the membership fee.
- Cover of public liability insurance against personal injury provided by the FAS.
- FAS quarterly publication.
- Membership card and intended quarterly society news sheet.

Members & visitors are welcome regardless of age, knowledge or experience.
The range of existing members is wide and range from 'armchair astronomers'
through to active observers of the night sky. You do not need to own a
telescope to take part in this interesting hobby.
